Iconic UK singer and actress Toyah has teamed up with award-winning vintage fashion retail website Lovely’s Vintage Emporium to curate and exclusively present some of her personal 80s wardrobe for sale.

The Collection went live here at 1am Thursday 8th September 2016 GMT.

Featuring pieces spanning Toyah’s entire career, the collection is available exclusively on Lovely’s Vintage Emporium, and has been shot by fashion and beauty journalist and the site’s CEO Lynnette Peck. The collection comprises 82 fashion pieces, 18 pairs of shoes and boots and 132 jewellery pieces. Two causes personal to the singer have been chosen to receive some of the profits from the sale.

I really felt it was the right time to move on from my personal vintage collection as my style has naturally evolved over the years, and I wanted to make it possible for others to enjoy the pieces as much as I have. Most importantly, my main focus from the sale is personal and two fold: To raise funds for both the St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester who looked after my mum so brilliantly and for a dear friend in need of a life saving operation. With her love, passion and expertise in vintage fashion retail, my buddy Lynnette has provided the ideal platform for me to make it happen” said Toyah.  “Re-living the incredible memories that curating my 80s wardrobe afforded me has been such a gift, and I’m really excited to share the pieces with Lovely’s Vintage Emporium customers.

Toyah and I have been friends since we met on a celebrity magazine photo shoot in 2001” said Lynnette, “we’ve shared a love of the era in which we came of age, both the style and the soundtrack, ever since. The stories behind these one-off pieces are memories that tell the story of Toyah’s incredible career in all its guises – musically, socially and of course stylistically.

Whilst Toyah’s iconic stage clothes are to be bequeathed to London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, the singer wanted her personal day wear and pieces worn for television and promotional appearances during the 80s to be made available in partnership with Lovely’s Vintage Emporium.

Enjoy shopping for Toyah's clothes!
