If you are into the 1940s and 1950s there is only one place to be this weekend: Twinwood Festival
It starts this Saturday 27th August and runs over the whole bank holiday weekend including Monday 29th August. It describes itself as:
The Ultimate Vintage 1940s and
This year is its 10th anniversary and it is a different beast altogether to the Vintage at Goodwood/Southbank festival curated by Wayne Hemingway for the last two years. Twinwood Festival is more for purists and is specifically aimed at lovers of just two decades not just any old 'vintage' or 'retro'. You can expect non stop live music playing jazz, jive, swing and rock 'n' roll from the 1940s and 1950s.
Plus you can buy vintage clothes, get your hair/make-up done in vintage style, have some dance lessons and much much more.
For some vintage fashion inspiration of what to wear here are some suggestions from Lovely's Vintage Emporium.
