As a child I loved the old films starring Grace Kelly, what little girl doesn't? She was the Hollywood actress who became a princess and lived happily ever after in the luxury of Monaco (OK, there wasn't a happy ever after but a girl has to dream...). She sadly died in a car crash back in 1982 but her memory, her stunning looks and great films such as Rear Window and Dial M For Murder live on.

With this in mind Mattel, the makers of Barbie, have launched THREE Grace Kelly Barbie dolls (they will make up part of the Barbie Collector Series). Each is dressed in a well-known Grace Kelly outfit:

The picture above is of the Grace Kelly Barbie Bride doll (available from 1st October) wearing a lace wedding dress similar to the one Grace wore when she married Prince Rainier III.

The Grace Kelly Barbie Romance doll (available now) wears a full-skirted black floral dress (the original was from an 'easy to sew' pattern the actress modelled for McCall magazine), with long sleeves and a tight bodice that flares out into a full skirt, and is styled with a coordinating hat and navy shoes. It is a copy of the one Grace wore when she first met the Prince in 1955 at the Cannes Film Festival.

And finally, the third doll (available now) is the Grace Kelly Barbie To Catch A Thief doll which wears a one-shoulder, blue, chiffon full length dress, scarf and even a co-ordinating handbag (as seen in the film).
