Today is day 4 of the birth of Lovely's Vintage Emporium and it has been a great four days thanks to Twitter, Facebook and my fabulous friends. My vintage treasures have now left LVE headquarters and are winging their way to new homes and new adventures.

What I love about vintage is that every piece has a story and will continue to have one. Items get passed through families and on to friends and quality pieces never date.

Some of the items to have flown the nest include the Diane Von Furstenberg kaftan which has gone to a doctor who wants it for her Mauritius holiday, the 1970s bright green summer dress has been acquired by a beauty entrepreneur who intends to wear it at press events and the 1970s Trifari nautilus shell necklace is now worn proudly by an 85 year old who emailed me and said: "I simply have to have it."

Here are the key items that I simply HAD TO HAVE for the launch of this vintage boutique...

1970s vintage Ossie Clarke for Radley swing top in Black, 1980s Givenchy silk floral dress, 1970s Chanel handbag
