Please be aware that all items on this site are vintage, unless otherwise stated, and as such are pre-loved.
Vintage does mean vintage so please do not expect them to be in NEW condition. All our pieces have had a fabulous past life so may show some degree of wear. Having said that, many of them have NEVER been worn though and where this is the case we will say that in the description.
Every item is checked and we do provide quality pieces and if there are any flaws it will be mentioned in the description.
Each item is a one of a kind and we do date each item to a certain decade - most of the time we do know the era but sometimes there is an element of guesswork.
All the measurements given are taken by lying the item flat on the ground across front side only and then the measurement doubled to account for the back. All our items are measured carefully and we give our estimate based on today’s sizing. Vintage sizes tend to be smaller than new sizes so checking the measurements is essential. We cannot stress this point enough!
We do pin items to fit our 'models'to show how they would look on the correct size, so please ENSURE you refer to our measurements for your final sizing information. Remember that the fabric of the item makes a difference too i.e if it is smocked or has a stretch waist - but we do list this in our descriptions.
One idea is to take a piece you already own, that fits you well, and lay it flat on the ground and measure straight across bust, waist and hips, then double the measurement. If our measurements on a piece match your piece then chances are you have found your dream item!
